Generations at Work
Steelcase, the global leader in the office furniture industry, are committed to researching and understanding the needs and behaviours of office workers. Based throughout the world, the Steelcase Applied Research & Consulting (ARC) team has extensively studied the impact of emerging trends and cultural diversity within the workplace.
One such trend that ARC has studied for over ten years are the four different generations working side by side today - Traditionalists (born before 1945), Baby Boomers (1946-64), Generation Xers (1985-77) and Millennials (1978-99). These different generations all have varying expectations of the organisations they work for, different ways of working and different attitudes about the workplace.
On Wednesday, 29th October in their East Kilbride offices, the Eastlake Group and Zoe Humphries of the Steelcase ARC team will present this research. Please join us to discuss each generation’s needs, influences, and inspiration in the workplace and discover how to create an office environment to satisfy everyone.
