Leading workplace interiors specialist, the eastlake group, celebrated its biggest ever month of orders in April 2008, taking in over £8m. This massive figure more than doubled their record month for 2007.

Clients who helped to push the record figure over the £8m mark include the engineering consultancy, WSP, a large pensions + investments group and a major international bank. Julie Low, Major Accounts Director with eastlake commercial interiors says “It is a wonderful achievement, particularly in today’s market, and this success reflects the continued passion and commitment of our people to provide our clients with the latest knowledge, innovative products and service excellence. We have a fantastic team of individuals who all contribute collectively to our success on a day to day basis.” The group is also making rapid expansions into the education sector, bringing corporate thinking and design into the education marketplace with clients including the Joseph Chamberlain College in Birmingham.

Since the formation of the eastlake group in August 2003, the business has gone from strength to strength, currently employing 180 people across offices and service centres in Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, Manchester, London, Cardiff and Belfast. Last year also saw the group open their first office in the USA to support increasing international organisations.

David Eastlake, CEO of the eastlake group said “To be consistently growing the business in a shrinking market and in the current global financial climate is a testament to the quality of service that we continue to provide to our clients.” Indeed, turnover is up from £12m at the acquisition of the business in 2004 to a targeted turnover of £40m in 2008.

“We are rapidly becoming recognised as the leading UK commercial interior provider. The opening of a New York office has proved a success and further plans to develop both the middle and far east offer fantastic opportunities for creative minds and new talent within the group.”
