Board expansion for eastlake commercial interiors (eci)
New board member appointed following increase in staff appointments
East Kilbride based organisation, eastlake commercial interiors (eci) – a part of the Eastlake Group, has strengthened its board with the appointment of Julie Low as major accounts director.
This appointment comes as the Group boosted staff numbers with eight new members joining across four of the organisation’s offices in the last three months. Julie has been with the company for a number of years, has contributed significantly to its recent success, and will continue to focus on bringing in and managing major accounts for the business.
The Group, which underwent an organisational restructure earlier this year, has experienced an extensive period of growth over the last two years – including two major acquisitions in Leeds and Belfast. This growth period has resulted in a tripling of staff numbers and turnover which now sees the company employing almost 170 staff with a turnover of £34m targeted for 2007.
Julie said: “I am delighted to be taking this position on the board of eci. I look forward to working with our team to deliver our shared goals that will see the business expand its reputation as one of the UK’s leading workplace interiors companies.”
David Eastlake, CEO of the Eastlake Group, said: “I’m very pleased to welcome Julie to the board and look forward immensely to working with her to further develop our business.
“As the Group continues to drive forward it is fantastic to be able to fill this senior role from within. This shows the depth of experience that exists within the business and also the opportunities for everyone as the Group continues its unprecedented growth in our industry.
“I am confident that our people are amongst the best in the industry and I feel privileged to work with them on a daily basis. I look forward to being able to continue to offer development opportunities across all aspects of the company to anyone who shows the passion, commitment and drive to challenge and progress within the business.”
